Dissertation is devoted to description of seismic parameters of zones of methane accumulation and development of effective method of their prognosis in coal rock mass array on the basis of the use of physic-mathematic modeling of process of distribution of seismic vibrations in coal-bearing layers, which based on degree appearance character of change of resilient descriptions of environment in zones of probable accumulation of methane. The physic-mathematic model of process of distribution of seismic vibrations is offered. Developed software for calculation of process of forming and distribution of the seismic-acoustic wave field in an coal rock mass array, criteria and method of prognosis of zones of probable accumulation of methane
