Object of research - modern English suggestive discourse as the complex multidimensional phenomenon in a communicative continuum. The purpose of research - revealing and the description of suggestive language mechanisms in the English communications. Scientific novelty and results: The necessity of linguistic analysis of both explicit and implicit language means in the process of suggestive impact is proved; lexical, grammatical, rhetoric and stylistic means which promote the speech impact on the addressee of the suggestive discourse are defined; the main suggestor's communicative strategies and tactics are analysed; the role of prosodic and nonverbal communicative means in the English suggestive discourse is investigated. Suggestive discourse is a symbiosis of verbal and nonverbal means which while interacting influence the addressee's subconscious and their usage demands from the suggestor an advanced level of communicative competence. The characteristic feature of modern English suggestive discourseis the renunciation of authoritarity and pressure, the usage of latent language means for effective impact on the addressee's subconscious.
