The Dissertation is devoted to the cult genre evolution research of the Stabat Мater catholic ceremony from the ХVІ to ХХІ c.c. Мater Dolorosa semeiotic image amplitude through the prism of the archetypical, existential and psychological factors. The main methodological category and the instrument of the complex genre history study is the genre-semantic invariant notion that covers two levels, composition-semantic and functional-communicative.
