Vovk L. Diphtheria among patients that have not received specific therapy

The dissertation is devoted to studying of a clinical course of a diphtheria among patients that have not received specific therapy. For the first time the characteristic is given of a modern course of a diphtheria among persons who have not received specific therapy, structure and frequency of complications in such patients. It is shown, that at patients with easy and medium heavy course of the basic pathological process in oral pharynx at diphtheria possible complications are on the part of heart, nervous system, kidneys, and also the connected defeats. These complications can develop both during the early periods of illness, and in late period. In details were investigated factors which influence a duly establishment of the diagnosis "diphtheria". It is shown, that easy or medium heavy course of pathological process in oral pharynx does not guarantee against occurrence of complications specific to a diphtheria in early, and also in late terms of illness.
