Essay

The thesis is focused on the problem of prevalence of osteodeficit in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, the role of factors which influence and cause bone mineral density changes, the influence of pathophysiological consequences of the disease, peculiarities of clinical course and methods of treatment on bone tissue. It has been established that in chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases the osteodeficitic states are characterized by geterogenic structure and multifactoral dependence on age, menstrual function, harmfull habbits, harmfull work conditions, desease duration and the degree of respiratory deficiency, schemes of administration of glucocorticoids and their daily dosage. It has been shown that six months’ use of calciumcontaining medicine ostein and its combination with antiresorbent calcitonin promotes the increase of bone tissue mineral density and the addition to standard therapy of emoxypin allows to improve clinical course and indices of chronic lipid peroxydation syndrom. in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
