Katsan S. Efficacy of new indirect selective laser coagulative method in the patients treatment with age-related maculopathy

Object - age-related maculopathy. Purpose - to increase the effectiveness of the patient treatment with age-related maculopathy. Methods: common ophthalmological, optical coherent tomography, fundal colour photo, fluorescein angiography of eye fundus, indirect selective laser coagulation; optic coherent tomograph, laser “EYELIGHT” 532 nm. Received finding have been confirmed the fact - indirect selective laser coagulation leads to the retinal thickness decrease in foveal area and drusen with height decrease in patients with age-related maculopathy of the II nd and III rd degrees. New method as an indirect selective laser coagulation is worked out and indications for it’s application are worked out in patient treatment with age-related maculopathy. These patients were divided in three groups in accordance with degree of age-related maculopathy. The results of work are adopted at the Filatov Institute and at the Kiev “Eye Microsurgery Center”.
