Luzan K. Complex evaluation of the scientific and technological potential of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and its place in the academic sector of science of Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the scientific and technological potential of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (UAAS). The theoretical concepts of scientific and technological potential are considered and deepened. A methodological approach to a complex evaluation of scientific and technological potential of academies of sciences is developed; this approach includes the usage of statistical, sociological and scientometric research and allows to consider the problem systematically and to receive an objective information on the development of an academy due to different sources of information and methods used, which are complementing each other. The approach makes it possible to make and consider different cuts and make comparisons; to come to justified conclusions and propositions as to the development of academies under contemporary conditions. Based on the developed methodological approach a complex analysis of the scientific and technological potential of UAAS was performed,which allowed identifying a complex of problems of the academy and to prepare recommendations with regard to their solving and to further development of UAAS in modern conditions.
