Essay

In this work the connection of hyperhomocysteinemia (HHCy) with progress of cardiovascular pathology in patients with chronic renal disease (СRD) is presented. The new model of HHCy enables in short term to achieve significant increase of the homocystein (HCy) level. It establishes, that the application of the complex of group B-vitamins normalizes the HCy level. Our work prouves the correlation of СRD with the elevated HCy levels and high risk of cardiovascular pathology. Though the connection of HHCy with lipids spectrum of blood was not revealed. Treatment of hemodialysis patients with folic acid is resulted to decrease of a level HCy, oxidative stress and improvement of endothelial function.
