The dissertation is devoted to the complex analysis of the specific features of ukrainian academic ensemble of folk instruments. Based on the researches of the process of folk instruments perfecting, main grounds and stages of academization of the folk instrumental ensemble, the composer's work, the achievements of ensembles on bandstands, the classifications of the types of folk instrumental ensembles was introduced and the conception the existing of the academic folk instrumental ensemble music art of Ukraine in the 20th century was created.
