Essay

Styrylcyanine dyes and their complexes with NA. Development of synthetic approaches to the receipt of new Styrylcyanine dyes perspective for NA detection upon single- and two-photon excitation. Organic synthesis, PMR-spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy of absorption and radiations, cromatomasspektrometry, fluorescent microscopy. Methods of synthesis of novel styrylcyanines with affinity modifying groups as well as dimeric dyes were developed. Styrylcyanines based on 4-oxo-4,6,7,8-tetrahydropyrrolo[1,2-a]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidinium appeared to selectively interact with RNA and demonstrated large values of two-photon absorption cross-sections in RNA presence. It was shown that dimeric styryclyanines having spermine-like linkage group in DNA presence enhance their emission up to three orders of magnitude and are efficient upon two photon excitation. Styrylcyanines were shown to penetrate inside cells and thus could be proposed for use in fluorescent microscopy for NA visualization. A series of dyes wasproposed for application as fluorescent probes for NA detection upon single- and two-photon excitation. Sphere of use - bioorganic chemistry, molecular biology.
