The thesis is devoted to the research of historiography of the Ukrainian national movement in Galicia ХІХ - the beginning ХХ century. Ukrainian and foreign historiography are disclosing activity first enlightment groups and public organizations, study of the Galician Russophiles and Ukrainophiles, оccurrence of political parties and tradition of parliamentarism, research of participation clergy, peasantry, students and intelligency in national movement. The dissertation deals with some scientific problems which need further research and interpretation in historical science. It was disclosed some discussional questions which remain actual for the modern historiography.
