Research is devoted to the explanation of the Phenomenon of Ecumenism in Modern Christianity. Author has proved that notion of "ecumenism" is not identical to the notion of "ecumenical movement". Sources and reasons of ecumenism emergence have been researched in the thesis. In the thesis the concept "ecumenical relations" has been provided with Religious Studies background. Forms of ecumenical relations have been analysed. Author has researched confessional understanding of Christian unity. Regional features of ecumenism has been analysed.
