Essay

Object of investigation: Permian evaporite sequences of Europe; subject of research: fluid inclusions in halite, chevron halite crystals geochemical peculiarities of evaporites; objectives of studies: reconstruction of Permian seawater chemical composition with the use of data on fluid inclusion composition in marine halite and to the solution of existing methodical problems; methods of investigation: UMCA, Cryo-SEM-EDS and ESEM-EDS, X-ray fluorescent spectroscopy, mass-spectrometry; practical value: ranges of use of fluid inclusions of different genetic types in halite for reconstruction of ancient seawater and basin brines chemical composition are established, authenticity of basic methods of determining of primary fluid inclusion chemical composition in halite was shown; scientific novelty: the quantitative model of second-order Permian seawater and basin brines chemistry secular changes is given; spheres of using: geology and geochemistry of salt deposits.
