The thesis deals with the theoretical and experimental research of stress-strain state and stability of thin transversely corrugated web of bending elements of I-section under static load. As a result of experimental research, the author defines more accurately the procedure for strength and stability analysis of transversely corrugated web of beams with different shapes and parameters of corrugation under static load in elastic and elasto-plastic stages of material behaviour. The thesis presents the influence of corrugation parameters on stability of transversely corrugated webs of welded I-beams. The effect of initial imperfection on stress-strain state and stability of transversely corrugated web of beams is also described. Recommendations for limitation of deviation from the specified geometry of transversely corrugated web of beams in manufacturing are offered
