Sydorenko N. Chronic rhinosinusitis of chlamydian etiology: diagnostic and treatment

The study is aimed to questions of increasing of efficacy of diagnostic and treatment of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis of chlamydian etiology based on the results of investigation of 144 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and the results of treatment of 44 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis of chlamydian etiology. It was found that chlamydian infection as etiological factor of chronic rhinosinusitis occurs in (30,6±3,8) % of patients. On relying on sensitivity of finding microorganisms from maxillary sinuses and a specific secondary immunodeficiency of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis of chlamydian etiology simultaneous applyment macrolids and recombinant interferon in complex treatment is proofed. The method of complex treatment of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis of chlamydian etiology is offered that includes prescription of antibiotic of macrolid group (Klacid) for 10 twenty four hours, 250 mg two times daily and recombinant interferon (Laferon) for five twenty four hours intramuscularly (1 mill. units) and intranasally (100 000 units) 6 drops 6 times daily in every nostrils. Employment of "Klacid"and "Laferon" in complex treatment of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis of chlamydian etiology permits to ensure etiologic improvement that is 91,3 % and immunomodular effect that gives increase of level natural killers and stimulation of spontaneous production gamma interferon, that prevent persistence of chlamydian infection and ensure clinical effectiveness of therapy.
