The dissertation is dedicated to analysis of socio-psychological conditions of development of communicative tolerance in lecturers of institutions of higher education. The work has theoretical substantiation, methodology and empirical research results. The research reveals the content of communicative tolerance of lecturers of institutions of higher education. Communicative tolerance of lecturers of institutions of higher education has been found to be inadequately developed. The research has identified the key signs of communicative intolerance as well as the basic types of lecturers of institutions of higher education in relation to the levels of development of communicative tolerance. Correlations between levels of development of the respondents' general and communicative tolerance have been found. Psychological factors that influence development of the lecturers' communicative tolerance have been determined. The author presents the results of an experimental application of a specially designed communicative tolerance development program to be used in socio-psychological training of lecturers of institutions of higher education.
