The object is the theoretical and methodological basis of political modernization investigation. The aim is to study the essence and methodological basis of indigenization approach in the modern theory of political modernization. The methods are the unity of historical and logical, comparative, system approach, sentential and pluralistic and synergetic approach. The problems of theoretical and methodological basis substantiation and possibilities of indigenization approach application for the analysis of the modern processes of political modernization are investigated in the thesis. It provides the disclosure of gnoseological and social roots of the phenomenon of indigenization, its entity, structural and functional features. The thesis gives profound analysis to the conceptual questions of definition of indigenization as a special model of modernization development of contemporary non-west societies, which creates praxeological basis for the methodological framing of the indigenization approach in modern discourse of political modernization.
