Essay

The complex research of the concept of an official in the historical aspect, with the consideration of the foreign experience, and under the current criminal legislation of Ukraine is carried out. The peculiarities of the criminal responsibility of an official in the comparison with the general subject of a crime are ascertained. The classification of officials is suggested. The author has analyzed the definition of an official and its general and special characteristics under the criminal legislation. Some propositions in order to improve the legislative regulation are formulated in this thesis.
