Essay

Resolving relations of half-analytical finite element method for prismatic bodies with variable cross-section area are obtained. Elaborated is an algorithm to model crack propagation in case of cyclic loading, which, while solving a finite element method originated system of equations, consideres evolutional character of fracturing. Technics for computing J-integral, that garantees its being invariant in discrete models of finite element method, is tested. New solutions of practically important problems related to finding stress intensity factors for a cross-like specimens are obtained, modeled is crack propagation in gas turbine blades, and a value of J-integral in a compact specimen is computed.
