Rudenko N. The Problem of Nagorny Karabakh in the Sphere of Russian-Iran-Azerbaijan Relations (the end of the XVIII century – the beginning of the XIX century).

The thesis deals with the complex study of political and social life of Karabakh Khanate and analyzes foreign relations of Russia and Persia in Transcaucasia at the end of the XVIII – beginning of the XIX centuries. The study shows historical processes and defines the complex of the factors which influenced the forming of Russian domination in the South Caucasus. The research analyzes the role of Karabakh in the sphere of the demarcation of the territories of two empires. The author of the research has analyzed the ways and methods of the annexation of Karabakh Khanate by Russia. The study has given a proper appreciation of the role of Karabakh in the history of Russia, Persia and Transcaucasia.
