3. Subject of investigation: the long-range spin-spin exchange interaction through the s-bonds ali-phatic chain in binuclear complexes. Object of the investigation: the copper(II) acylhydrazones of the b-diketones space-armed di-mers. Aim of investigation: The factors affecting the exchange interaction between the copper(II) ions in monomeric binuclear complexes of acylhydrazones of the b-diketones. Methods of investigation and instruments: elemental analysis, EPR-spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, diffuse reflection spectroscopy, ther-mogravimetry analysis, X-ray analysis. Theoretical results and novelty. For the first time 36 new monomeric binuclear complexes of acylhydrazones of the b-diketones were investigated. In the copper(II) complexes derived from malonic, succinic, glutaric and adipic acids with trifluoroace-tylaceton there are the long-range spin-spin exchange interaction between the copper(II) ions through the 6-9 s-bonds chain. Using the pentamethyl spacer or modifying of the chelatophore group by changing the nature of b-diketone leads to suppression the weak exchange interactions.Practical results and novelty. A compositions derived from the binuclear copper(II) complexes of acylhydrazones of the trifluoroacetylaceton shown a catalytic action in CO oxidation reaction. The results of investigation can be used in synthesis of a new complex compounds with determined magnetic properties (molecular paramagnetic with weak an-tiferromagnetism) and designing of new catalytic systems.
