It is set that a methacetine respiratory test has a high diagnostic value in diagnostics of the functional state of hepatocytes at alcoholic illness of liver (steatohepatitis, acute hepatitis, liver cirrhosis). The methacetine test has the large diagnostic value in diagnostics of the functional state of hepatocytes at chronic viral hepatitis and viral to the cirrhoses liver. A methacetine test has a high sensitiveness and specificity at the use of it as a criterion of efficiency of patients’ treatment with chronic viral hepatitis and cirrhoses, and also patients with alcoholic disease of liver.
