Essay

The main purpose of the thesis is to research Germany's policy considering ethnic Germans ("volksdeutsche") in Reichscomissariat "Ukraine" in 1941-1944. The plans and measures of Nazi government concerning using Germans in construction of new social and political order have been analyzed. Author studies the ideological principles of use the German population on the occupied territories, including in Ukraine. Research of structure and activity of Nazi organs, which were accountable for work with ethnic Germans, is conducted. Description of quantity and geography of settling apart of ethnic German minority is given in Reichscomissariat "Ukraine". The thesis contains analysis of creation by occupation power the new German colonies and process of liquidation of these settlements in 1943-1944. Legal status of German association of Ukraine is estimated in the system of Hitler's so-called "new order on the East". The colonization, mobilization, economic, social, cultural, educational, religious policy of Ministry of the east occupied territories, administrations Reichscomissariat "Ukraine" and the Nazi special services relatively Ukrainian "volksdeutsche" on the different stages of occupation is studied in the thesis on the basis of many sources. Some features of perception by ethnic Germans of Ukraine of the occupation mode are turned out.
