This dissertation is based on the research of the Derman Monastery during the period of the interconfessional fight in Volhynia at the end of the 16th century and the first half of the 17th century. The paper analyses the process of the monastery creation and formation; it reconstructs the administrative, economic and governmental systems. The basic directions of scientific, educational, cultural and elucidative activities and the spiritual development of the monastery under the Uniate monastic order are analyzed.
