Radziyevska L. Hematological correction and optimization of quality of life in patients with solid tumors

Thesis is dedicated to the study of ESC transplantation potential for hematological correction and QL improvement in patients with solid tumors. Correction of anemia and weight in patients with solid tumors before anti-tumor therapy was successful, which provided for quicker initiation of this therapy. ESC transplantation was also effective for restoration of hematopoiesis in patients with cytostatic hemosuppression, which resulted in better tolerance of cytostatics, reduction of infectious complications, and higher survival rate. Immune correction was possible in patients with immunological problems after anti-tumor treatment, as well as QL improvement in IV stage pancreatic cancer patients. These results prove the feasibility of the ESC transplantation as supportive therapy in solid tumors.
