A numerical method for computing the thermal performance of a hot-blast stove has been developed. The method allows one to find the temperature under cone taking into account fuel burn-up on height of combustion chamber, accumulation of heat by fettling. Temperature patterns of a headpiece are determined using developed mathematical model, taking into account external recycling of exhausts. Numerical and theoretical analysis showed that the average temperature of a headpiece increases when recycling is used due to the increase of convectional component. This leads to growth of average blow temperature on 10-12°C. Computations demonstrated that the use of sintered gas as oxidizer gives 6% decrease in the fuel consumption and improve an ecological performance of sinter-machine. Based on theoretical and experimental studies, the dependence is envisaged - of the line run-out of the draft block from operating conditions of the process of taking the stove on the draft (such as temperature, duration of the furnace shutdown, consumption and composition of hearth gas). That allowed us to develop the measures for increasing durability of the draft block, which result in 2-2.5 times increase of inter-repair working time of hot-blast stoves.
