Essay

The object of investigation is the process of composite material creation with predictable properties. The aim of the work is the development of ceramics with given properties. The investigation methods are based on the fundamentals of composite technology and percolation systems physics. The investigations were implemented according to modern methods and conventional methodologies. The scientific originality: The specifics of heat treatment influence on generation of structure and properties are determined. The phenomena of electrical resistance decrease under deformation was found. The ceramics, made of thermal expanded graphite and kaolin, with advanced properties was obtained. Practical significance: The recommendations for the graphite-ceramics applications are given. The method for monitoring changes of structure and deformation mode is proposed. The productivity increase method in heat treatment of technological mixtures is proposed.
