Essay

Object - the process of root crop transporting by rod conveyor. Purpose - the increasing of work efficiency of beet-harvesting machines by the decline of the dynamic loading that influence on the elements of a drive of rod conveyor and working bodies of a cloth. Methods - theoretical investigations are made with applying of methods of theoretical mechanics, theory of mechanisms and machines, differential and integral calculation, methods of mathematical design in laboratory conditions on the projected and made stand and in field conditions. Novelty - 1) estimated the influence of the drive parameters and rigidity of traction elements on the dynamic loadings that affect the elements of the conveyor; 2) established the start-up modes on the dynamic characteristics of clothe movement with different rigidity on the conveyors work effectiveness and damageability of root crops; 3) established the expediency of systems application of operated start-up of rod conveyors as one of the methods of dynamic loadingdecreasing; 4) established the character of dynamic loading changes that act on elements of a drive and conveyor of beet-harvesting machines in field conditions at different modes of start-up and with different rigidity clothes. Results of investigation - on the basis of the results of investigation offered the designs of the operated start-up systems; operated coupler clothes and drive elements of the conveyor that are protected by 10 patents. Results of investigation and received recommendations can be used at designing, development and modernization of rod conveyor design in beet-harvesting machines and also at choosing the operation modes.
