Essay

Objekt – relationship between structural lipids parameters and keratin and physical-chemical composition of wool fibre during annual wool growth in the ewes with different physiological status, yellowing processes, nutritional condition. The aim – to study lipid and fatty acids content of wool keratin and their role in the formation of physical-chemical properties of wool fibre under different conditions. Methods of investigation and equipment – biological, biochemical, zootechnics, mathematical, statistic, vehicle Socsletta, photocolorimeter KPK-3. Novelty: for the first time, the content and composition of lipids and fatty acid of wool keratin and the interrelation between chemical composition and physical indexes during annual wool growth in the ewes with different physiological status, breed, nutritional factors, yellowing processes were investigated. As a result, the new data about the role of wool keratin lipids in the formation of physical and chemical properties of wool fibre under the different condition. Results: it has been shown wool keratin contains 0,46-2,38% of total lipids. Main polar lipids are ceramides and sulpholipids, the principal neutral lipids are nonesterified cholesterol and nonesterified fatty acids. Stearic acid is dominant among fatty acid composition of semi-fine wool are lower content of total lipids and higher level of 18-methyleicosanoic acid (anteiso C21:0) in comparison with astrakhan wool. Yellowing processes are connected with integral lipids of keratin and their long chain fatty acids composition. Yellowing of wool fibre accompanied by change in their chemical composition and physical properties. Use – it was proposed the using of rapessed oil cake instead 25% of concentrated feed enriched by sulphur, selenium, iodine and silicium, tends to improve wool productivity and physical-chemical properties. Area of use – biochemistry, sheep-breeding, feeding.
