Essay

Dissertation work is devoted to the problems related to determination of stability of slide hazardous slopes and slants using up-to-date software, as well as their reinforcing by means of support and reinforcing structures. Specific features of stability loss of the Sea of Azov (Donetsk Region) shoreline slopes have been determined. Calculation models for calculating slope stability factors using software complex "Nonlinear Polyfem" have been proposed. Based on the results of investigations carried out on mathematical models of sliding slopes, the processes of forming the area of limit equilibrium at sliding slopes being under slipping condition have been summarized. For improving the stability of slide hazardous slopes and slants of the Sea of Azov shoreline L-shaped retaining walls embedded in soil combined with horizontal reinforcing ties and retaining structures from bored piles have been provided.
