This dissertation is devoted to the criminological characteristics and prevention of violent crime in Tyva Republic. The author studies its criminological and criminal law characteristics, the personality of violent criminals, causes and conditions for committing such crimes and their victims. He proposes the system of measures aimed at prevention of violent crimes and makes suggestions as to the improving the effectiveness of the agents of prevention.
