Essay

The thesis discusses common and distinctive features of Ukrainian and English syntactically agreed speech sequences represented by standard parts of speech models in the bilingual texts of international treaties. A complex comparative typology study of recurrent speech sequences was conducted on the syntactical and lexical levels of the languages involved aiming at finding factors that determine typological differences and similarity. Deep semantic discrepancies in both identical and dissimilar structural models were proved to be determined by differences in seme composition, by different semantic relations and combinatorial potential.
