Essay

Thesis is devoted to development of effective approach to solving of class of problems on the free vibrations of plates and shallow shells with rectangular planform of variable thickness by various conditions on the edges, on the joint using of the spline-collocation method and stable numerical discrete orthogonalization method in combination with the method of incremental search. On the basis of the developed approach the computations of free vibrations of orthotropic plates and shallow shells, made from different materials are conducted, at certain conditions on the edges of plates and shallow shells depending on a change in one or two coordinate directions thickness was carried out.
