Frolov S. Historical science at the higher educational institutions in the city of Kharkiv during the postwar period (1945-1955)

The object of study - development of historical science at the higher educational institutions in Kharkiv. The purpose of study - the tax of the facts, their complex analysis and study of the general tendencies, and also features of development of historical science in Kharkiv in first postwar decade, characteristic of scientific and study-methodical activity both concrete educational divisions, and separate teachers-historians. The methods used in the research are: classification and criticism of sources, historical-genetic and biographic methods, methods of the scientific analysis and synthesis, retrospective method. This dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the general tendencies and peculiarities of the historical science at the higher schools in Kharkiv during the culmination point of soviet totalitarianism related to the cult of I.V. Stalin's personality. A special chapter is devoted to the development of historical science at the departments for social sciences of nonhistorical faculties at the higher schools in Kharkiv.
