Lukash A. Rapes: Criminological Characteristics, Determination and Their Prevention.

This dissertation is devoted to the study of criminological aspects of rape. The author provides modern data on criminological characteristics of rape. She analyses theoretical issues related to crime determination, builds a three level system of rape determinants and establishes the importance to consider concrete life situation related to rape commission and its kinds. The author focuses on the necessity to take into account the victimological factor of rape based on the specifics of the above crime. The dissertation suggests a new approach to the understanding of rapist's deviations and the deviations are divided in three groups according to their nature with an obligatory account of sexological ones. With the specifics of rape commission, its determinants and peculiarities of concrete life situations in mind, the author comes up with a system of preventive measures for rapes on general, special and individual levels.
