Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of modes of driving a freight train in order to reduce the expenditures of power resources for traction of trains. The analysis of mathematical models of train motion and methods of optimisation of the programmes of driving a train has been performed in the thesis. The method is improved and the algorithm is developed to construct a set of trajectories of motion on a given track side for Pareto’s incomparable variants thus forming a basis for development of a hardware&software complex on calculating the rational regimes of driving a train and issuing the regime charts. In order to form the rational programme of driving a train on a given section in the sense of the minimum value of power expenditures and the prescribed time period of motion, the method of determination of the rational distribution of passage times over track sides has been advanced that has allowed choosing the rational variant of driving a train on the track section sides with the fixed passage time.
