Essay

The PhD thesis deals with the investigations of electronic and ionic processes in Ag2MeI4 (Me=Cd, Hg) superionic compounds. The transition of Ag2CdI4 to the state with relatively high hole conductivity has been studied. Impedance spectroscopy and dielectric relaxation spectroscopy of Ag2HgI4 and Ag2CdI4 have been performed. The IR reflectivity of Ag2CdI4 was experimentally measured in temperature range of 10-420 K and frequency dependence of conductivity in the FIR part of the spectrum was calculated.
