Essay

Purpose - alignment of hydrodynamic performance of face throttles and determination of their influence on the dynamics of noncontact face seals and bearing-sealing automatic system of axial force balancing of centrifugal machines rotors, and also alignment of these units calculation procedures. Methods: basic equations of classic hydrodynamics, equations of oscillations, Gurvyt's criterion was used for research of stability. Results: the mathematical model of face throttle, with taking into account local and convective forces of inertia of liquid and loss on local hydraulic resistances for laminar and turbulent flow regimes, is developed, and analytical expressions for determination of its hydrodynamic characteristics are got. Estimation of forces and moments in face throttles influence on static and dynamic characteristics of noncontact face seals and automatic discharging device is given, it is shown that the account of inertia forces has considerable influence on damping characteristics of liquid layer, and account of local losses - on stiffness characteristics . The procedures of calculation of noncontact face seals and automatic system of axial force autobalancing are refined. Area of use:: pump building industry.
