Thesis provide research of modern forms of existence of folk music traditions of Khmelnitsky Podillya, identify genre structure of folk music repertoire and its stylistic peculiarities, provides characteristics of informants. This work is the result of field research conducted by the author 1997 thru 2004. 17 sites were subject to research. 814 of folklore specimens of different genres were recorded from 44 informants (singers) (469 of them are placed in a separate additional book of notes) which provides an integral picture of folklore of the said region. The recorded and analyzed folk music repertoire and all of its above-mentioned characteristics reveal local peculiarities of folk music of modern Khmelnitsky Podillya. The results of the research can serve as a supplement to the integrity of a picture of Ukrainian folklore and idea about its development.
