Myroniuk V. Peculiarities of form factors and assortment structure of trees in the urban area of Kyiv

Research object - regularities of interrelation between biometric parameters of trees in the urban area of cities. Research methods: the methodology of investigation is based on modern methods of scientific cognition, oriented on informational technologies. Methods of forest assessment and principles of system approach have been used for collection and processing of input data. To determine correlation between biometric parameters multiple correlation and regression analyses and mathematical modelling in conjunction with others statistics methods have been applied. Comparison and generalization of obtained results have been made with logical-and-analytic method and scientific abstraction. Novelty - for the first time parameters of the mathematical models of tree stems form factors of Lombardy poplar (Populus italica L.), white poplar (Populus alba L.), bastard acacia (Robinia pseudoacacia L.), ash-leaved maple (Acer negundo L.) and silver-leaf maple (Acer saccharinum L) in the urban area of Kyiv city have been estimated and volume tables depending on diameter and height have been developed. The assortment structure of the urban-grown tree species has been established and corresponding mathematical models have been obtained. Assortment tables to evaluate the volumes of trees, cut during reconstruction of greenery, have been developed. The standards of trees volumes estimation in the urban area of cities have been improved, which in contrast to present take into account their morphometric parameters. Results of research - the system of standards for evaluation of volumes and assortment structure of trees in the urban area of Kyiv city have been developed. These standards are offered to use in activities of enterprises and organizations that maintain and exploit cities greenery. Application of the results of the thesis has been realized in subdivisions of Kyiv municipal enterprise "Kyivzelenbud". Branch - forestry.
