Grynjoch N. Ukrainian scholarly historical centers in Canada in the 50-80-th of the XX-th century: main directions of activity.

The dissertational investigation is devoted to the study and complex analysis of the activities of scientific historical centers in Canada. The author showed and interpreted the main causes, which favoured the creation and evolution of Ukrainian historical institutions. The main phases of scholarly - historical centers activities and peculiarities of their activity were elucidated. Generalized was the role of leading Ukrainian scholarly - historical institutions in elaboration of theoretical conceptual aspects of Ukrainian historical science and of the orientations of their development; in uniting under their auspices the historicians of different generations, in preservation and development of best traditions of Ukrainian historiography. The author showed many sided editorial, scholarly methodological and pedagogical activities of the historical institutions.
