The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical and practical problems of the legal regulation of population employment in Ukraine. In the present study the place of institute of employment in the labour right is determined. The author carried out the theoretical analysis of categories "labour market", "employment" etc, and investigated international legal norms in the field of regulating employment and pre-conditions of forming of labour-market in the state as well.
