The thesis is devoted to the Soviet-Yugoslavian conflict of 1948-1956 in the light of East-West opposition. The state of relations between the USSR and Yugoslavia, their evolution, reasons and aftereffects of the political conflict for both countries, its influence on the international relations as a whole have been considered on the basis of archive materials, documents of the CPSU, SCY, works of Ukrainian, Soviet, American and Yugoslavian researchers and also the press of many countries. The place of Ukraine in the Soviet-Yugoslavian conflict has been considered separately
