The thesis for candidate of science degree in speciality 02.00.01 - inorganic chemistry. - Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Kyiv, 2007. The thesis is devoted to the research of the process of formation from the systems of coprecipitated components, establishing the conditions of isomorphous replacement, and determination of the crystal structure peculiarities of the five-slab perovskite-like compounds and phases of A5B5O17- type, revealing of the connections the composition - structure of their layer perovskite-like structure (LPS), and also investigation of some of their properties. The peculiarities of the formation of individual five-slab perovskite-like compounds and isomorphically replaced phases with LPS from the systems of coprecipitated components have been established. The conditions of different types isomorphous replacements and the criteria of realization of compounds and solid solutions of A5B5O17 - type have been determined. The crystal structure of 12 five-slab compounds and 6isomorphically replaced phases have been established and the factors that determine the peculiarities of atom localization in their LPS have been revealed. Electretic, luminescent and photocatalytic properties of A5B5O17- type compounds have been studied.
