Bakalets O. Money treasures as a source of investigating the money turnover of Hetmanshchyna (1648 - 1764).

In dissertation examined monetary treasures of the period of Hetmanschina as a souvse for the reconstruction of money turnover, financial policy and the economic development of the country. The thesis deals with the investigation of the coin treasures of the Hetmanshchyna period as a sourse for the reconstruction of the money turrovev, the finansial policy and the economic development of the country. The author analyses the gains of the and foreign historiography in the field of the Ukraine numismatics, starting with its forming in the second part of the 19th century up to nowadays. The author defines the peculiarities and specific of the scientific approaches and methods of the most prominent scientists dealing with the problems of the Ukraine numismatics, investigates the growth of the scientific level of their works, the broadening of the kourse basis of the investigation, the strengthening of the critical approach to the sources. The opportunities of the monetary treasures as a historic source aredemonstrated, the level of its informativeness and reliability is determined. On the basis of the evidence, obtained as a result of investigating the treasure complexes, the specific weight of the Western European and the Russian coins on the Ukraine money ekonomy is defined, the conclusions on the general economic development of the Ukrainian Cossaks state, the financial policy of the Hetmans, the orientation of the foreign trade are made. The data of the monetary treasures are correlated, with and proved by the written sources.
