The dissertation is devoted to the complex research of the problem of legal basis of currency risks regulation. The dissertation has formulated the notion of "currency risk" as a legal category; has revealed the main cause on which currency risks arise - currency contradictions; has contained a new kind of currency risks classification depending on the level of their possible rise; has revealed the correlation of currency risks with currency legal relations and the role of currency risks in the evolution of currency systems. Leaning on theoretical provisions the notions of "currency risks legal regulation" and "currency risks controlling" have been formulated for the first time, common outlines have been determined and criteria of their delimitation have been worked out. The notion of "legal mechanism of currency risks regulation and controlling" has been formulated, its structure and functions have been determined.
