The object: female characters and manners of their presentation. The objective: eduction of the peculiarities of female characterization in the works of D.H.Lawrence and A.Lubchenko, the de-termination of ontological and poetical measure-ments of female characters for their typological analysis. The practical value: usage of the results in the special courses on the history of English and Ukrainian literatures, Comparative literature. The methods: comparative-historical, biographi-cal, female critics, typological, structurally seman-tic, structurally functional, of functional anthropol-ogy, existential psychoanalysis.
