Essay

Thesis is dedicated to the development of new method of optimized video streaming scheduling over lossy network, based on Forward Error Correction (FEC) with varying redundancy ratio for each data element. It is shown that the method proposed in the work can be used with all widespread algorithms of video compression. The developed method has a speed of calculations sufficient for using in real time on modern computers, at the same time it can be adapted for the systems with the wide spectrum of computational power. It is experimentally shown that the proposed in the work method gives the quality of video image on 0.7-1.4 dB higher than other FEC methods with a constant or determined coefficient of redundancy.
