Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the improvement of diagnostiс and treatment of osteodeficiency in patients with non-specific inflammatory bowel diseases. There was established decrease of mineral density of bone tissue as osteopenia and osteoporosis in 72,3 % of patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. The main prognostic criteria of osteodeficiency development in these patients such as severe course of disease, often (or long-term) usage of cоrticosteroids, duration of disease more than 5 years and body mass index less than 20 kg/m2 were determined.
