Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the construction and realization of rigorous and effective methods for solving initial boundary-value problems. The problems under study describe transformation of TE- and TM- electromagnetic pulses in structures with axial symmetry. These structures are: open waveguide resonators, compact inhomogeneities in free space, radiators with a waveguide feeding. Computational algorithms based on standard finite-difference schemes with original absorbing conditions were developed.
